Well, technically they do because their protein comes from other sources, not just meat and it is true that most people who eat meat go over their daily value amount of protein. Amazes me how people always assume that just because you don’t eat meat you always eat healthily. I don’t eat meat and I also have days where I eat too much junk like everyone else.

That’s why they said plant-based, not vegetarian. They’re not the same thing. You can eat a plant-based diet and still eat some meat if you wanted to. Lol – protein sources as a vegan: nuts (peanuts, walnuts, cashews, almonds, etc), legumes, lentils, spinach and other veggies, soy milk, tofu, tempeh, quinoa, beans, whole wheat bread, flax and chia seeds, hemp. I’ve been able to exercise every single day since I stopped eating meat like I used to plus my mood has improved.
