Thou shall not poop in the camper shirt
Some good ideas here, but isn’t half the fun of camping eating baked beans and spam and roughing it? Forgetting half of your stuff and having to make do with what you remembered? Being uncomfortable at times but sucking it up and appreciating what you have? The best camping memories I have from my childhood were when things didn’t quite go to plan (like my parents setting up the tent in torrential rain and ending up having a mud fight and then as soon as they’d finished the rain stopped, or forgetting our bag and having to wear dad’s clothes for the weekend). We are too measured and organized these days, leave a bit to chance.
We camped at home for five days during Hurricane when electricity went out and trees blocked roads. Most very useful ! Also carry tarps, rope, saw, blanket and Thou shall not poop in the camper extra water, food, etc. in trunk of.car because we.were once stranded in mountains of Pennsylvania with road blocked As a American with Scottish decent, camping is, a tint, a lighter, drinks food n cannibis, because American rivers can be very nasty. I am also from the South and if you pulled up with all this you would get laughed out of the camp site The match thing wouldn’t work with our “Safety Matches” here in Australia. I think the idea in this video was to keep the matches dry. In the US matches will strike on any hard, rough surface.
