This is my rescue kitty Apple. I literally have 5 cats that come to my house. So I need some training on how to catch them so they can be neutered and realized There were 2 cats when they had their 3 kittens in my backyard last spring.
Sorry I can’t I have plans with my cat shirt
I was able to get close to him (like 12 feet away) by throwing tuna at him cause he was so hungry but he was taking too long and I had other cats to temporarily kidnap so I stuffed a trap with a mixture of can cat food, tuna, and mackerel, he went in and we drove away in about 5 minutes! I named him Mackerel, he was neutered, vaccinated and ear-tipped Wednesday morning. Sorry I can’t I have plans with my cat. I bought my traps from Tractors Supply, they sell them for like $36 dollars; the price will vary depending on where you go. Get on the internet and call every shelter in your area and ask if they know where you can take your cats to get fixed, like a spay/neuter clinic, if there are no clinics in your area, compare prices at all the veterinary hospitals around you and pick the cheapest one. The clinic I took Mackerel to is almost 2 hrs away from me. Some shelters have live traps you can borrow as long as they’re returned.

You might have to take 2 at a time until you get everyone if the surgery cost isn’t reduced but make sure you get the girls in first, boys can wait. I put newspapers in the traps *only if it’s not windy* if it is windy, the papers will scare the cats away. I typically use canned cat food but some cats don’t play that game so I have to step it up a notch and use tuna, put the tuna on a small disposable plate in the far back of the trap, behind the trigger, set it and wait somewhere the cat can’t see, smell or hear you. Once the cat is trapped it will freak out and pitch a fit, be ready to cover the trap with a large towel or blanket so they can’t see out and calm down. Make sure they are covered at all times. Do* not* put your finger in the trap, they’re scared and even if they know you, they are very quick and will try to bite you. Keep them somewhere overnight out of the weather with no food/water and take them to the clinic or vet in the morning. Make sure you call ahead of time to schedule an appointment, ask for painkillers, rabies
