Thank god for common sense I did the same from toddlers with toys eg it’s nearly bedtime 5 minutes and we will put toys away same applies to online gaming etc now. it’s not difficult, is it! Game Fortnite Nike. There’s no such thing as a perfect parent and we’re all constantly learning but setting boundaries and rules and having a consequence is key I think!

We have to use timers as my oldest is autistic and given the chance, he would play 24/7 so we set rules and if they don’t follow them then they know they will lose their privileges. During term time, we remove all cables (HDMI & power) to render the console redundant. Game Fortnite Nike. During holidays, they earn time on console vouchers. If arguments erupt, we reset the WIFI password. I don’t allow mine to have it past our set time, they also have to do homework etc before game time. In school holidays they have slightly more time but not much more, they don’t have the WiFi password either. It’s just being sensible with usage, isn’t it? If My kids refuse I turn the internet off !!! Just got to make sure you are in control. I remember as a child not wanting to come inside and my mum having to ground me.
Enjoy your life with it!

No matter what children will always try to push the boundaries just got to make sure they know they can’t. I don’t think that in some situations this is the case! My son has autism and if he’s on it for only five minutes he will become aggressive! Doesn’t matter if it’s at home or if he’s at a friend. Not always so black and white. I do the same! Any attitude when it’s time to come off then he loses it for the day after or longer if it’s a real strop!! Simple!! Rarely happens tho as his answer is usually ok mum can I just finish this match! I didn’t say it was specifically for all, my son’s special interests are computers and gaming and he will not remove himself without the necessary warnings and use of a timer- this prevents aggressive outbursts for my Son, where did I say that it worked for all kids on the spectrum?!
