I don’t know about the rest of my race but I know I can take a joke so. Also, its fun to see what other people think stereotypically of us other than assuming we’re all racist I loved this video
Horror movies make me happy humans make my head hurt shirt
This was painfully funny because it shows how some of us try and rate who’s black enough and then how some of us turn on each other knowing we’re just as guilty for something and have an excuse we can rally around as to how we sold each other out when we could’ve used our time and energy and brains to come up with a plan to overpower the situation that’s out to get us. Horror movies make me happy humans make my head hurt. This was funny when I first watched it, and now I’m just sad. They weren’t even trying to rate “who’s black enough,” they were trying to prove who was white enough to be “safe.” I’ve watched it 3 times and all I can think now is it’s literally Black people disavowing their Blackness so that the Whiteman doesn’t kill them.

And everybody’s too busy fighting and trying to stay alive to realize that they’ve been set up to do that. And not just intra-race, but different racial groups are pitted against each other so that we don’t unify or collaborate to work out the real issues. I’m just glad you went there while everyone else is talking about how funny the jokes are cuz there’s a lot to unpack in the video. Like when the woman flipped her shirt inside out. I mean yeah the joke with her almost vomiting trying to say “All Lives Matter” is funny but she said it anyway so that her life would be spared, and then the video ended with the “blackest” person getting killed by a white man. Black Americans aren’t cast in horror films because of racism and the preference of white actors as the default for every film, not because they don’t want to be cast in a film and not because the movie has to go this certain way if they were.
