Have some weird standards if you prefer this over the PT, but you’re entitled to your own opinion. Personally think the ST is an embarrassment and creatively bankrupt I know, right? Dark vader that’s no moon shirt You confirmed the location and trajectory. You should have more ships in your armada in order to start a war to conquer the galaxy. Why not order other ships to form a blockade?
Dark vader that’s no moon shirt
I just turned 49, and have the pleasure of seeing every single Star Wars movie in the theater first run, and I am STOKED!!!!! I still have every action figure I had as a kid as well. I can take nostalgia with the new, and even accept a few hiccups But these people hating on my favorite movies just to be trolls is ridiculous. From a “true” fan In response to Lucas being involved with this last movie, Dark vader that’s no moon shirt I’m still tentative about thinking this is a guaranteed good film, mostly because it has to spend time undoing the well and truly awful job Rian Johnson did with the Last Jedi. The title of this one is a testament to how off the mark his vision for this franchise was.
In TFA we get the groundwork for the mystery of Rey’s lineage, one of the more unique aspects of the new series mind you, and the Johnson decides he’s going to toss that entire plotline out of his movie. And now, we have a title basically telling us Rey is a Skywalker, refuting what Rian has said through his movie and in interviews! Now a part of this new movie is probably going to have time devoted to reintroduce those themes, and assure us they ARE in fact important. It’s like building a sand castle over three days, getting sick the second day and letting your sibling work on it, only for them to decide it ought to be a sand golf course, and then you having to undo their work to try and complete your palace before the third day ends. It’s hard to imagine a harder job for Lucas and Abrams.
Be cool with our cool tee
We have both the best and the worst fan base. The problem with the haters is that they are trapped by their own nostalgia and hold everything outside the original “holy trilogy” to such ridiculously high standards that no filmmaker would ever be able to reach. desperate to keep the name Star Wars good, even if it means scraping the bottom of a barrel to justify it? New doesn’t always mean better. The only reason I have hope for 9 is that J.J. had a chance to learn from the mistakes from 7 and 8. We just need to see if he did.
