My eldest son struggles so much. He has adhd with autistic traits and learning difficulties. He tries really really hard because he wants the best for his life…. But, when we went to the last parents evening the teachers were so nice about him. Said how kind he is etc. So whether or not he struggles, as long as his trying his best that’s all that matters to us. A son and a daughter. I’m so proud of them. Growing up, I didn’t have a lot of money, luxury items etc… however, they had the basics with special gifts and rewards. Both have worked hard and are self- sufficient.
Most of all, we are very close. We enjoy time together. We would and do anything for one another. I am not and never have been impressed by others. I’ve learned early on what is important in life and thank God my children also have. I’ve known many parents who bragged and bragged about their kids, bought them anything they wanted. They always had the popular games/clothes right when they came out. Bought them brand new cars, paid for college etc…. most grew up to be selfish adults who are unable to cope with the most minor issues. They barely see their parents. Just don’t have the time.
