Not only was it hilarious, it was nice to see Bruce and Clark have a nice moment and not do anything but just hang out and bring their fiance and wife respectively. I really like moments when superheroes are hanging out together and just relaxing, similar to the party scene from Avengers: Age of Ultron.
Bat man: That which does not kill me should run shirt
Strange to think an issue so hilarious can work in Batman’s context, but it did. One of the best single issues in some time. Lois’ acceptance of Selina and Selina’s honesty with Lois was a highlight! Hilarious, eye-opening, and downright Gorgeous! Within these two issues, I would be open to Tom King writing Superman at some point. Clay Mann has got to be a handle because I’m just gonna assume you can just morph the art however you please because it was just the right amount of modern grit without losing the original piece that a lot of artists today go for. That baseball debate throughout the issue is something I didn’t think we’d get to see, like when two people we really wanna see the fight start to but then the camera pans away. Great issue, especially coming from someone who doesn’t read Batman normally. Bat man: That which does not kill me should run. Batman has been truly epic for about 4 issues now including the Annual. I think it’s because they are focusing on the real character.

Most books focus on the hero, which is just a mask they use to fight crime or protect the innocent. Sometimes they focus on the alter ego/normal identity, which is also a mask as they often present themselves as a normal, dull person that could never be a superhero. But that 3rd true identity is often the most interesting, and seeing how that fits into both of the other personalities. This 3rd identity seems to only be hinted at, or outright ignored by many writers, but Tom King has been showcasing it, often more than the other 2.
