The league in this era was played by men who rocked real defense without rules to watch games at 130pts in the Finals. I didn’t see a «dogfight» in the league since the last century. Young man, NBA nowadays is overrated not the opposite.
Basketball dibs on the coach shirt
People really expose their biases, or if it ain’t their biases their exposing, its their lack of understanding of the sport. There is a reason Tony Allen gets labelled a great defender in the current era. His height is similar to Dumars and Gary Payton. Like Dumars and Payton, Tony Allen can get up in your chest, more than a less quick taller guy like Klay or Kawhi or any of the longer defenders, especially when hand checking was allowed. Jordan didn’t have much trouble with the taller guys. Basketball dibs on the coach. This is so freaking frustrating. I am sick and tired of the recency effect. Stop it already! Jordan is the best of all-time and no one would be able to come close. That era of the physical ball is gone, Curry would have been hit so hard by the bad boys, he would have been calling in sick to avoid playing. LeBron James is the greatest basketball player of all time. It was Oscar Robertson. Now it’s Lebron. It never was Michael Jordan. Never.

It might have been Michael Jordan if the only thing important was scoring from shooting all the time. It’s not. Rebounding is important. Passing is important. Defense is important. Lebron and Oscar both crush Jordan in all of those. Titles are actually not that important because titles really only tell you how loaded your team was and how weak the rest of the league was. All of Jordan’s titles came while he had Pippen (who was just as good as he was) and a loaded team in a league that was watered down and weak. Jordan never faced a team in any of his title seasons that was as good as every team that bounced Oscar out or every team that Lebron played in the finals. Jordan was the best at being loved and overpraised by the media, but anyone who knows basketball knows he never was the best player of all time.
