Now watching my personal favorite, Walking Distance, starring tragic Gig Young as a hurried businessman seeking redemption in the past. This episode is used as a metaphor for Young’s real life in my new book, Tragic Hollywood Beautiful Glamorous and Still Dead.
Training for a marathon on Netflix shirt
Just wrapped up watching There Was Time Now, starring Burgess Meredith as bifocal wearing, the henpecked little man who escapes his mundane life by sticking his nose deep into the leaves of books. Ah, the best-laid plans. Watching The Sixteen Millimeter Shrine, directed by and starring the great Ida Lupino as an aging, Norma Desmond type movie star who literally chooses to live in the past rather than try to make a living in a world that’s passed her by. don’t know about you but I’m watching a TZ marathon on Netflix all day. Training for a marathon on Netflix. Now watching And When The Sky Was Open, about three astronauts who return to earth and then became two who became one and then there were none. On many Independence days, I sat mesmerized, watching all those wonderful Twilight Zone episodes on SyFy. The day was too pretty to sit inside but the twilight is on until midnight. I might have called it “16 fairly decent horror movies in Netflix right now”. Or “16 horror movies that don’t totally suck on Netflix right now”
