As an American with Australian dual citizenship, I wish Americans would embrace learning other languages and leave their own country to experience how others think and live. Lifelong learning.
This is America we eat meat we drink beer shirt
When I first stepped outside of the USA one of the first things that struck me was how European and Australian parents urge their kids to get out and go explore the world, while here in the USA there is a very strong “don’t leave home / stay close/fear the world” mentality. While we have an English, Australian and French accent we just do not have an American accent. I guess we have to blame diversity and vastness of the country. It would be ignorant to think there is only one English accent; there are dozens. You can go 20 miles in a different direction and people will speak with a completely different accent.

Go to the US with this tee!
This is America we eat meat we drink beer. I was born and grew up in the Phils, migrated here over a decade ago. It was quite a culture shock for me at the start ‘cause everything is different! Back home we call the USA the land of opportunity. And I am grateful for all the opportunities this great country has given me. The Americans are very blessed indeed. Our First Amendment means we have the freedom to speak our minds and do. We also have separation of church and state and welcome diversity. Shalom from Texas! Btw the US Women’s Soccer Team is the most successful international women football team in the world winning most World Cups. I agree with most of them especially ‘Big’! I have visited USA 4 times coz my husband feels like the USA is his second country as went to study there and lived there for 10 years. He also has a foster family and we always go and visit them..if one thing I can add up is USA likes standardization/uniformity and McD, Starbucks, KFC, hotel chains, 7eleven just to name a few.,all exported to every corner of the world!
