Enjoy your coffee, love the smell, but tea for me, this is the day the Lord has given us let us rejoice and be glad HE has given us all more than we deserve, blessings your way. The early bird might get the worm but it’s the second mouse that gets the cheese
The early bird can have the worm shirt
The Chicken Chick is still hatching chicks? So maybe I’m not the only crazy chicken lady hatching in the winter. I have been raising chickens for 8 years now but this is my first time hatching in the winter (since I could only purchase top of the line show hens recently (no roosters since she was out) from a breeder, so I am trying my best to hatch some eggs from them while they are still fertile). The early bird can have the worm. Any tips for hatching chicks in the winter months (I will be housing them outdoors in a fancy chicken house)?

Would the heaters without a bulb be enough heat this time of year to keep them warm (probably lowest temp in the barn without a heater would be the 20s or 30s since it is warmer inside considering the coop has ventilation but isn’t hugely drafty but we have other birds in the coop in different cages so the body heat in the coop, in general, should keep it a bit warmer in there right)? I can’t think of what the heaters you were giving away awhile back was called but that is the kind of heater I am contemplating on buying.
