Lot of us were taught to be scared of/dislike spiders by the big people in our lives. We didn’t come like that. Still not too late to get over it if we have kids and grandkids so we don’t pass it on down the line though.
Step over ants put worms back in the grass shirt
We might need to think about this one if we are in for a healthy future. If we are going to get into harmony with our environment that will mean respecting even if that bee that is a wasp, and even the caterpillar that eats what we don’t want it to eat in the garden. Insecticides in the garden is a moot point because if the soil is healthy (and if we are not doing large chemically assisted mono-crops) the plant-ecology will be healthy enough to resist what we term ‘pests’ in a similar way the human immune system. That is (part of) what permaculture is about. Warm wishes to you for the weekend. Step over ants put worms back in the grass. I had to look them up Carla, and yes, step over them too. They only bite when threatened – like dogs and cats really. “Jerusalem crickets, also known as potato bugs, can bite humans, but they don’t release any poisonous venom. Jerusalem crickets typically bite when they feel threatened. Fortunately, their bodies don’t contain glands for producing harmful toxins.”
