Isn’t drag just a male interpretation of what it means to be a woman and most of the time its mocking women? I don’t know any actual women who dress and act the way drag queens do so I guess it only works for a male audience.
RuPaul if you can love yourself how in the hell are you going to love somebody else shirt
I love Drag Race. I cried hearing the struggles these young men had and the bullying, violence they have endured. I think it’s an amazing show and highlights that it’s okay to do Drag, ok to be gay, ok to be transgender. I feel it is very inclusive. It depends if you are talking biological or sociological the two have there owned individual contentious issues! one is a social construct to box in a gender the other is pure to identify two separate forms. Both can be argued that they are labels, however biologically its simple to separate. sociology looks at interactions between groups as well as interactions with in those groups. Thus a male body but a female mind, as an example. what RuPaul is saying that anybody can dress in drag.. , which makes no sense since drag is a male dressing in garments social constructed and labeled as woman’s clothes. if a woman was to do the same she would be dressing as a woman. RuPaul if you can love yourself how in the hell are you going to love somebody else. I mean, being a drag queen means being a man dressed as a woman. Sure you can dress in drag as a woman but you’re not a drag queen. If you transition from man to woman you’re not a man anymore and technically aren’t a drag queen anymore.

If you transition from woman to man you’re a man and can be a drag queen because a drag queen is a man dressed as a woman. Drag is not at all about “being a man dressed as a woman”; drag is a specific art form that can be done by any and all genders and sexes. Yes, if you do drag to dress as a woman in drag, then you are a drag queen, no matter your sex and/or gender. Ri calmly explained this and yet you couldn’t handle being wrong, so you decided to then be rude. Look further into drag culture- beyond a google definition of drag.
