Being a public Defender is easy on fire shirt
My dad’s first fire was a hotel fire. We were talking before he died and he told me he would never forget the smell of burning flesh or the screams of those who lost loved ones. Nor would he forget what those who were severely burned looked like. My dad didn’t get paid near what he was worth and these men are not paid their worth either. My dad went often to John Sealy Hospital in Galveston and visited the Burn Unit. He always donated blood for the victims and usually had prayer with the families of the victims. I’m sure there are many firefighters today who do the same thing. Their jobs don’t stop at the end of their shift. Many can’t sleep because of what they’ve seen or what they had to do to save a life. Please, think about what she has shared with us and ask yourself, What is the life of a firefighter worth? Being a public Defender is easy on fire. By the way, my dad died with only 10% of his lungs working from fighting all those fires. And every time he went to a fire, to him it was worth giving his life for!
