when I worked in a preschool, we were told never to address the kids in a negative manner unless it was an emergency. instead, to say: you need to be careful, you need to walk, please use gentle hands, etc. when a friend of mine tried it with his employees, it worked with adults as well!! please close the fridge, instead of stop leaving the door open! people , kids anyway, tend to not only hear positive things better, but also hear the last few words of what is said instead of the whole thing. Maybe this story didn’t originally have pictures and the guy who made the video added pictures and messed up.
