Oh okay at first I was like Wonder Woman is far from a colonizer now I realize we were talking about the actress. Playing the race card is playing the victim. Don’t let your differences decide your future or be an excuse. Being a male nursing student gives me plenty of experience on equality. Racism and sexism are the faces of the same coin.
Dont scare me like that colonizer shirt
White people in this thread getting extra salty about this film is cracking me up, like, if you didn’t enjoy it, move on with your life and enjoy almost every other Hollywood film in existence? Show me on the doll where this film’s blackness hurt you. It’s not the blackness you mensa candidate. It’s the sheer no holds barred anti-white narrative I found distasteful. I find racial bigotry abhorrent, especially in what is essentially a kids film. Dont scare me like that colonizer. What experience? Living in a black utopia with technology that white people will probably event in the next fifty years? Or crying about slavery years after it was abolished. If you want to be butthurt by this film, then no one is stopping you, but if you could stop embarrassing all white people everywhere with your nonsense that would be helpful. I agree with you. I’m so sick of people using this movie like it’s a black revolutionary film that’s all I’ve been seeing people do on Social Media. This movie is a superhero comic book film, that’s it. It’s revolutionary to people who have never seen powerful and beautiful black actors and actresses being absolutely and unapologetically badass.

Colorism is real. Even most of the black actresses in films are lighter skinned. Representation matters. It means a lot for black kids to see this movie and see an entire cast of complex characters who look like them. It’s something people who aren’t black take for granted, so it’s totally understandable that they don’t get it, but it’s a big deal to millions of very dark complexioned kids out there. Stop making the movie that was made for everyone all about you. No wonder racism won’t go away, because of stunts like this. You want racism to go away then stop separating yourself from everyone else. In this day pulling the race card is not playing victim. It’s stating the obvious, especially if you’ve been stereotyped your whole life. I know when someone is being racist towards me. So imma say something about it. That’s not pulling the race card, that’s just stating the obvious. How would you know how it feels if you have not went through this your whole life.
