This is rubbish- if its all u do with your child perhaps but my child does plenty with and without screen time. Be fair and talk about balance rather than scaremongering. I wouldn’t even allow my child to touch a phone. When I was a younger, we played outside, made sand castles, I’m not thick I’m a big girl cute as fuck tho. played hide and seek. And no children don’t need technology to ‘learn’ a pen and paper or be creative and buy paint ! Definitely not allowing my kids to grow up around technology until they have a job and can buy one themselves

Every child is different. I have 2 older children with a 10-12 year age gap with my youngest. I did everything the SAME! My youngest has delayed speech. We read books, flash cards, hands-on games with colors and shapes. And no my older children do not speak for her. She understands everything that is said to her and follows directions. I’m not thick I’m a big girl cute as fuck tho. She has screen time at our older children’s sporting events. We snuggle up on the couch and watch a movie together. That is not the reason why her speech is delayed. She is who she is. 1st child didn’t get any screens at all until age two. No speech problems, very bright, no delays at all. 3rd child got screen time around age 1. No delays, very bright, very articulate. Actually started speaking clearly before 1st child did. So I think this is bogus. Everything in moderation.

I would say it’s greatly influenced by what they’re actually doing on iPhones/iPads. Plus you have to look if there’s a correlation between parental style and lack of speech as this is far more likely. My daughter had an iPad for her second birthday and excels when compared to her peers. Could speak in full sentences at that age and knew all her colours by 2.5yrs. She’s socially and emotionally advanced too. My older two children didn’t have this and weren’t anywhere near as advanced as her so I don’t believe this at all. I think iPads etc when used in the right way are an educational aid, not a hindrance!
