Wise words Jay Shetty. So many people don’t recognize when they are being abused and don’t understand that leaving means finally loving and protecting yourself. I have 5 sons and I always advocate for men who are at risk of domestic violence. It is far more widespread than society realises and the attitude towards the power imbalance is in.much need of social education … If I’m drunk It’s my camping friends’fault beer to be more fair in your Much needed message for Our Men’s physical and emotional safety .. simply add your personal awareness message.. not cancelling out the one for women tho. Remind people of the methods the aggressor uses; especially emotional towards Men.
There is a much needed awareness of Men in this situation too (but without minimising the domestic violence against women) Once there was very much a gender imbalance of power and women were very much stuck in their situation as employment and recovery prospects were limited for a sole parent Mother…but now Women are very much involved in the workforce so coming out of domestic violence holds a much better Financial Status for Women. We are still becoming aware of domestic abuse of Men and it NOT being treated as a joke. Or men being ridiculed and shamed out as ‘wimps’ so they are too embarrassed to speak out.
