I feel like we are in the Mad Gab game where the words are jumbled up and the faster and louder I read something, the more it makes sense phonetically. I always think it’s great for people to take things for granite. Taking things for inanimate objects is so helpful since they can’t take things themselves.
I take for granite peoples poor grammar shirt or sweatshirt
This cracks me up but in all seriousness. As a former community college instructor, I have had reports turned in written as poorly as the post. I was a biology instructor, so I was not one to make a huge deal about the thing like spelling (I am not great at it myself), but I put my foot down when 75% of my class spelled Bosphorus (phosphorus) incorrectly on a test! I take for granite peoples poor grammar. I have said it before and I say it now. How you write on Facebook will bleed into your employment and professional life. My husband once had a leave request written out as “I want 2 take leave cuz I go 2 the beech”. He also accidentally an apparent “assignment” (a punishment of some sorts for one of his guys) on a pile my class reports I was grading. I was halfway through with my red pen before I realized it wasn’t mine. At that point, it was more red than black and white!
