I believe Juan is correct. I think the creator of the series, Just a woman who loves Chucky Don Mancini, mentioned that Chucky has the same strength his normal human body would have had, so that’s why he can’t simply be easily tossed around.

Chucky scarred me for life with the scene where the grate closes on his hand and he rips his hand off I was pretty young when I saw it too. Probably around the same age. Though, this was several years after it came out since I hadn’t even been born yet. I was still okay, though. Lol. I could handle most horror films. It was rare if one scared me. I didn’t scare too easily. Just a woman who loves Chucky. Now, as an adult, they don’t frighten me at all. I don’t watch horror movies to be scared. I just find them entertaining. My brother used to have a “my buddy” doll and I had a “my little sister” doll. Of course when this movie came out he threw “my buddy” away lol. As for my little sister, idk where she went
Like a cool lady with us!
As far as I know, this movie was rushed into the market. After Child’s Play 2 became a financial success, Child’s Play 3 was immediately put into development, and the studio wanted it to be released quickly. This was a problem since the script, the production, and the release of the film happened way to fast. Don Mancini wanted to have more than one Chucky doll possessed by Charles Lee Ray, but since the studio wanted a new movie quick, that’s how we got Andy Barclay into Kent Military School. Overall, I think that it is a bad movie, but in terms of the franchise, it’s the least bad of them. Chucky is more evil than ever, Brad Dourif did the best he could with the script he was given, and my favorite part of the film was the animatronics and puppetry of Chucky, himself.
