Actually yeah he was learning. He was just lost whenever there was something new that the book didn’t give advice on. Jack Skellington as Harry Potter But mostly, Harry just didn’t like potions because of Snape. I think another year with Slughorn and he would have been fine.

I can imagine how frustrating it must be to be constantly patronised in this way. I follow a science page that is written in Australia, and every time a word is used that is spelt differently in America, you can bet that around half of the comments would be from Americans picking on their writing skills. This would be a direct result of books being changed for the audience, Jack Skellington as Harry Potter and those are exactly the people who could have done with a bit of exposure to other cultures. Sadly, the entire country gets lumped into the same category when viewed from the outside, and I can imagine how embarrassing it could be for you.
Get it now and hope you like!
I think he had a scholastics edition at that time,so he mentioned sorcerer stone. Why thou Madame Rowling let other publication use it rather than the philosophers stone? I read it and thought it terrible. It reads like a poorly done fanfiction. The key plot point also blatantly disregards cannon that is clearly laid down in PoA. Various characters are portrayed OOC, including Harry.
You’re missing nothing but a headache by skipping it. I refuse to read the CC. The books themselves 1-7 are canon as well as the following associated ‘books’ such as The Tales of Beedle the Bard, Quidditch Through The Ages and Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them (as well as the movie and the upcoming sequel) I started reading it when it first came out but couldn’t finish. It read like bad fan fiction… which I attributed to the fact it was written specifically for a Broadway screenplay and not a novel so I’ll give JK a pass- as well as she didn’t fully write it. I would Love to see it on broadway however!
