I’m 70 years old. Mom and dad took mt brother and i to see the REAL SANTA. I offered him a piece of gum and he said “oh no!, it’ll get stuck in my beard”. Bigfoot Santa Christmas So from then on, i knew all the rest of the “Santa’s” weren’t really THE SANTA, because they would take my gum. The old real Santa (Jim Yelleg), will always be the real one. Pleasant memories.

I get some money I’m going here lol just wonder if it has that Christmas spirit in that town!! Has like candy store toy store I haven’t looked up hotels yet though!! Cool fun fact: we have a theme park, yet the county (in general) is so small, that we are one of the only counties in Indiana without a Walmart, McDonalds, or Bigfoot Santa Christmas a CVS I grew up in Evansville and Santa Claus was always where we went for spring and summer breaks.
there are hotels in the nearby city of Jasper. It’s about a 20 minute drive. Jasper has some great culture with fantastic restaurants. If you’re looking for the best bang for your buck I’d recommend the Holiday Inn Express, the most luxury I’d recommend the Hampton or the most cost efficient I’d recommend the SureStay by Best Western. There are other hotels a little closer like the Red Roof Inn in Ferdinand. But I’d recommend Jasper just for the experience. If you end up staying in Jasper be sure you make time in your schedule for the Schnitzelbank German restaurant AND for Ohana Hawaiian Bar and Grill. SO GOOD! And if you love ice cream check out Libby’s on the courthouse square. All of their ice cream is made in house and it’s so good. I hope this wasn’t information overload but I thought I’d share! I hope you enjoy your visit to our little area!
