Yellowstone twice and never got to see a bear, they are beautiful creatures. Midsummer it is best to hang out around Hayden valley. Spring and fall it gets easier to find them in other areas

Here’s the Bear we saw after coming in through East Entrance of the park! It was about 30-40 min drive into the park when we saw it! Crossing the road from the lake. This was in October 2015. Taken in Yellowstone, July 2012. Sorry for the poor image, but, felt very fortunate to get that close to a Griz. Saw NUMEROUS black bears and cubs, and have much better photos. I have been to Yellowstone 6 times in July-august and never seen a bear. 2 years ago I went the last week in may and saw both black and grizzly bears and cubs. Also, didn’t have all the people, the only downside was a lot of things weren’t open. This spring I had one come over a hill 60 yards in front of me and angling to my to my left as it walked by within 35 yards. I was in the open and had nowhere to hide. It never even acknowledged my presence thank goodness. I saw a grizzly 5 years ago in the same valley right on the tree line. Magnificent! My daughter got to see her wolves also. A great experience and adventure. I love you Victoria! I will not venture into Idaho they use wolves radio collars for tracking and aerial shooting. Now there has been hunting of elk and bison in the Grand Teton national park. There are proposals for mining near Yellowstone. Where are the bears supposed to go! Have you been to Yellowstone lately?

There are crowds of tourist with selfie sticks surrounding bears. There are tourists petting the nose of bison. I am truly disgusted by human greed and behavior. The BLM issue with the Mustangs. Slaughter of bison and mustangs. Really !!!!!! If we care to save anything for future generations we better stand up now and take part. They are wanting to sell off this land to the highest bidder. There is a proposal to decrease law enforcement on the public land. I won’t venture into Idaho and now Wyoming. What will Montana do? My heart aches. Please take a stand for those that can not speak. Think of your future generations and what would life be like without these magnificent being and public land. Please do not allow a trophy hunt for Yellowstone area grizzly bears. These bears are worth much more alive than dead! They are the drivers of the region’s tourism economy and are the primary reason that people, like myself, come to visit your state.
