We had a period where I was phasing out my Boers for Nubian milk goats but couldn’t part with my extremely gentle Boer buck and they made nice dual purpose kids. This is my first year with a Nubian buck covering all Nubian does.
Easily distracted by goats shirt
Stated with pygmies decades ago in a not so awesome part of town that had big backyards, they are fence jumping fools! But they are like dogs with hooves and horns. Moved onto meat goat Boer goats, it wasn’t for us but they are neat goats, the bucks can be a challenge to manage. Finally settled on Nubian milk goats, sweet sweet goats. They provide milk that we use just like cow milk in the kitchen and it makes amazing cheese a nice yogurt and I make a nice goat milk, oatmeal, lavender bar soap out of it also. Love my goats!!

Have a good time with us!
Easily distracted by goats. They are naughty and clever! We had a Toggenburg and Seymour spent a lot of energy trying to escape to the wider world outside our backyard! We had two Toggenburgs when I was a kid (sorry, I couldn’t help myself!) You’re right, they’re clever. Ours figured out how to rub against the screen doorwall to open it – they’d come in and startle the heck out of my grandmother! My Nubian and French Alpine were really bad. I was sitting in the living room and heard really weird thumping noises coming from outside – looked out the window and the two bad babies were running up the bilco (covering for the outside basement door) jumping on the side of the house and then running back down – would turn around and run up again and thump the house. I can’t tell you how many times they were at the back door waiting for me. Loved going for walks in the woods with me. They both passed away between the ages of 16 years. They were both Wether’s so they were just for fun. I have 2 fainting goats. I don’t like when it happens when there young it is more often but they learn to brace themselves. So now that there 2 when they faint its usually because they r quite frightened and it’s a bit sad to see.
