The truth is that Craig Na Dun’s precious stone circle does not exist in Scotland. The production team of the series built some fake stones and placed them on a hill in the Perthshire region. Then, of course, they were taken away. Craigh na dun travel company. But the truth is that the Clava Cairns is linked to a legend related to the Jacobite defeat at the Battle of Culloden and that could have served as an inspiration to Diana Gabaldón for Craigh Na Dun.

They say they held hands by the fracture in one of the stones of the Clava Cairns and that they disappeared and they never heard of them again. Reality or fiction? We will never know that anymore.
